Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities: East and West, Danville, KY

For boys ages 6-12 with severe emotional and behavioral problems, Sunrise Children's Services offers two highly structured Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF’s), open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  They are designed to meet the needs of children who need more long-term, comprehensive care, but who do not require hospitalization.  In this setting, children can continue their schooling at our on-campus classroom, while benefiting from:

• a 24-hour, on-call clinician
• on-site psychiatric and nursing services and medication monitoring
• individual, family and group therapy
• nutritional assessments
• therapeutic recreational activities
• psycho-educational groups covering an array of skills/behaviors.
• Specialized therapy for children with sexual behavior problems
• Spiritual and moral growth opportunities
