Since the inception of its foster-to-adopt program in 2006, Sunrise Children’s Services has celebrated more than 500 adoptions. Our Foster-to-Adopt ministry connects families who are called to open their hearts and homes to a child in need.
Our team has achieved the highest levels of education, experience, and credentialing in the fields of substance abuse treatment, clinical social work, counseling, and psychology. We are a different kind of foster care agency. We are a Christ-centered foster care ministry that has a commitment to produce and maintain strong, quality therapeutic foster homes. Through the professional training and ongoing support provided by our entire staff, our mission is to help families like yours grow to be confident and competent foster parents for the children and youth that we serve.
The Sunrise Scattered Site Independent Living Services Program is part of the Sunrise continuum of care that focuses on helping young adults ages 18-21 with a successful transition into adulthood. VentureON connects young adults aging out with resources that can help them find housing, jobs, and an education to build their own future and surrounds the young adult with a care plan team, a mentor, partnerships with employers, and safe, stable housing.
Our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF), located on the Woodlawn Campus in Danville, provides around-the-clock services to boys ages 6 -18 with severe emotional and behavioral problems. We design treatment to meet the needs of youth who require more long-term, comprehensive care, but do not need hospitalization.
Sunrise Children’s Services operates a network of residential programs across the state that offers long-term, residential care and treatment to young people from ages 12-18. In addition to providing seven-day-a-week-round-the clock care, the young people are taught on campus through agreements Sunrise has with the local school district. The goal of the programs is to help young people transition from a home of abuse and neglect so they are able to return to their homes, or into a more traditional foster care setting.
