Foster Care Case Manager

Processes placements for foster homes and completes placement paperwork. Develops and monitors the treatment of each child in the assigned foster home, which will include meetings with the child’s legal guardian(s), court appearances and transportation to appointments.

Maintain an ongoing, preventive maintenance program: including but not limited to painting, cleaning of gutters, grass mowing, carpentry, minor plumbing and interior detail work. Do errands as planned and/or as needed: deliver and pick up items to be repaired, pick up refuse from facilities, keep autos serviced. Maintain other equipment and utility systems. Coordinates the volunteer program for the agency. Maintains database of volunteers for special projects. Responds and fields inquires from individuals and groups of volunteers, appropriately distributing them out to Sunrise programs as necessary. Helps receive, organize, maintain, evaluate and distribute donations. Leads and manages Sunrise’s Miles of Pennies fundraising program. Manages the monthly Birthday Blessings program with supporters and other tasks as assigned.

Provides direct care and supervision to youth according to agency policies and procedures, licensing and accreditation requirements. Provides direct provision of care and supervision to clients according to agency policies and procedures, licensing and accreditation requirements. Creates a therapeutic environment to provide appropriate care to our clients. Functions as a part of the treatment team and helps implement the client’s treatment plan. Exhibits professionalism and positive role modeling for clients, peers and outside groups/visitors. Promotes health care protocols to included medication administration and other medical tasks as designated by the program nurse. Ensures that the client’s needs for clothing, nutrition, hygiene, rest and recreation are met on a daily basis.
